On December 25, we were privileged to host the 10th annual Christmas Day at Pitt event for those in need in our community. More than 2,400 holiday meals were served to guests, who were given gift bags containing winter essentials, and more than 600 gifts were distributed to children from families in need. This event, staffed by Pitt faculty, staff, and students, including senior leadership and their families, has grown to become the largest such event in the region. More than 250 volunteers from Pitt and Sodexo made this event not only possible, but also a wonderful experience for all who came - Not to mention Santa, Mrs. Claus, elves, and a live band who created a festive and welcoming ambience! We are grateful to the Pitt community for their generosity and their hard work, and to our partners, Sodexo and the Salvation Army. View the complete photo gallery here.
