More than twenty years ago, the University of Pittsburgh joined the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank in the fight against hunger in the Pittsburgh Region. We know it's a fight we can win together, and we need your help to do it! Every donation to Pitt Partnership for Food will be matched by the Chancellor, meaning your dollars go farther. With the Chancellor's Match and the purchasing power of the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank combined, every dollar you donate will provide ten meals to those in-need in our community.
Donate online or on campus! Visit our official fundraising page to make an online donation or any of the buildings below to make a product donation.
Campus donation bins can be located in Alumni Hall, Benedum Hall, Cathedral Of Learning, Craig Hall, Eureka Building, Hillman Library, Mervis Hall, O’Hara Student Center, Park Plaza, Peterson Events Center, Public Safety Building, Scaife Hall, Thackeray Hall, Thomas Boulevard, Posvar Hall, University Store on Fifth, and the William Pitt Union.
The Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank is committed to good nutrition. A list of their most wanted items includes low-sugar, high-fiber cereal, tuna and salmon packed in water, fruit packed in juice or water, canned beans, peanut butter, hand soap and toiletries, toilet and facial tissues, laundry detergent, diapers, and low or no sodium canned vegetables. All items should be non-perishable and in non-glass containers. Thank you!
